Front Row at Versace

Gian Giacomo Ferraris didn't provide additional details about the potential investors in the Italian luxury house.

IN CHARACTER: At Versace, Nolan Funk, who fronts the brand’s men’s ad campaign for spring, said he considers himself “a character actor.” To that end, he has been flexing his acting muscle delivering an action movie with Vin Diesel, starring in “Lovelace,” working on MTV and acting on Broadway. How does modeling fit in? “It’s such an honor to work with such an iconic and innovative designer,” he said.

As for the future of Versace, they’ll have to keep guessing a while longer. Before the show, chief executive officer Gian Giacomo Ferraris didn’t provide additional details about potential investors in the Italian luxury house, nor did he define a time frame for a deal. Last month, sources said Versace had narrowed down a short list that included global private equity firm CCMP, Blackstone, and Investcorp.
