CHANGING OF THE GUARD: Erin Doherty is the new editor in chief of Glamour in France, effective Feb. 10, WWD has learned. Doherty currently heads up coverage of fashion and beauty at French Elle magazine, published by Lagardère. She succeeds Marie Lannelongue, who has headed Glamour since its launch in France in 2004.
Doherty is to spearhead all editorial content, both print and digital. “I welcome Erin to write a new page of our beautiful brand and mark a new stage in its development,” stated Condé Nast France president Xavier Romatet.
In 2012-13, the paid circulation of Glamour in France was 347,637, down 3.3 percent from 2011-12, according to France’s Circulation Audit Bureau.
