Miranda Kerr Mango

LONDON — The Spanish high street retailer Mango has named Australian model Miranda Kerr as its new ambassador for spring 2013. She replaces Kate Moss, who was the face of Mango for two seasons.

According to a Mango spokesperson, Kerr has signed for one season.

Kerr, who is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret “angel,” or brand ambassador, has previously appeared in campaigns for Bally, Jil Sander eyewear, Prada, Rag & Bone, Maybelline New York, and Levi’s, and is ranked seventh on Forbes’ list of highest earning models, having earned $4 million in the year to May 2012.

The campaign was shot in New York by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and will appear on television and billboards, and in printed press, magazines and online media.

Besides Moss, other previous Mango faces include Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Claudia Schiffer and Diane Kruger.
