The European fashion capitals are welcoming an early spring — and clearly defined seasons (and wardrobes) seem irrelevant. Hard to say if Dries Van Noten had this in mind when designing his latest collection, but his tropical prints, floral patterns and bird of paradise accessories were hardly autumnal conventions. To ground pieces in the applicable season, the designer used a desirable mix of outerwear and footwear. Quicksilver pull-on boots with a wide elastic band were particularly effective. Suddenly, this searing sundress was no longer meant for warmer climates but for an original look, no matter the time of year or hemisphere.
