Steven Kolb to Receive Honorary Doctor of Arts Degree

The chief executive officer of the CFDA will receive an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Kendall College of Art and Design, Ferris State University.

PAGING DR. KOLB: On May 10, Steven Kolb can add doctor to his title. That's when the chief executive officer of the Council of Fashion of America will receive an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Kendall College of Art and Design, Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Mich. During the commencement ceremony, he will be introduced by designer and CFDA member Pamella Roland DeVos, who recently made a $1 million gift to the school to create the Pamela Roland DeVos School of Fashion there. Kolb will address the students after receiving his honorary doctorate. "In my work at CFDA, I am surrounded and inspired by creative people, so to be recognized as one of them is truly special,” Kolb said.
