CELEBRATING YOUTH: On Wednesday night, Lapo and Ginevra Elkann joined their younger sisters Tatiana and Sofia De Pahlen at Le Dictateur Gallery in Milan. There, the two girls celebrated the launch of the first photo book curated by FastForword, their artistic collective, also including Milan-based Carolina Cavalli and New Yorker Elizabeth Gilpin.

“I’m very proud of them, they are young but extremely enterprising, and this is a great starting point for their career in the creative environment,” said Lapo Elkann, referring to the “Youth” photo book, which collects the works of 16 upcoming photographers, all sourced from the Web.

“By sourcing the images from the blogosphere, we wanted to represent the spirit of our generation,” said Gilpin, adding that the book will be also presented in New York on May 2.

Along with the Elkann siblings, Rosita Missoni and other personalities from the fashion and design industries attended the event, including Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, the creative minds behind Le Dictateur Gallery.

“I’m super happy with this project, because this gallery was conceived as a platform especially for young people,” said Ferrari, who will be shooting Kenzo’s new advertising campaign in New York in three weeks. The Italian photographer also revealed that during the upcoming Milan Design Week, Toilet Paper, the magazine he founded with Cattelan, will publish a book called “1968.” “It’s about the Radical Design movement,” he explained. Toilet Paper and British magazine Wallpaper will be holding a celebratory dinner in occasion of the book’s debut.
