EDDIE’S MUSINGS: Following his tradition of shooting fashion girls in his jewelry, Eddie Borgo has chosen Julia Restoin Roitfeld as the face of his fall “campaign.” It’s not an ad campaign in the traditional sense — rather than buy ad space, Borgo circulates the campaign to editors, retailers and friends. Restoin Roitfeld has been involved in the project before, art-directing some earlier campaigns, all of which have featured fellow members of the style tribe, including Vanessa Traina (fall 2009), Lauren Santo Domingo (spring 2010) and Tabitha Simmons (fall 2011.) Restoin Roitfeld appears in Borgo’s Cyprus necklace, earpiece and bracelets in a black-and-white image shot by Paul Maffi.
