DOUBLE SPEAK: Pamela Golbin, chief curator of fashion and textiles at Les Arts Décoratifs, will be outnumbered this spring when she returns to the French Institute Alliance Française for her next round of Fashion Talks.
That’s because she’s chosen a couple of designing duos. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, founders of Opening Ceremony and creative directors of Kenzo, kick off the series at Florence Gould Hall in New York on March 14 with Isabel and Ruben Toledo doing the honors on March 18. Indian-born designer Naeem Khan will be solo for his talk on March 27.
Golbin notes that what unites the five American designers “is that they have all successfully launched their own independent brands.”
