Miu Miu Pops Up in London

DOIN’ THE MIU MIU: Miu Miu has taken over the Café Royal on Regent Street in London for a three-day pop-up women’s member’s club, shop and restaurant this week known as the-miumiu-london. The ground floor Grill Room is open for evening drinks and DJ will play until 2 a.m. On the first floor there’s the Conversation Room, an atmospherically dark space decorated with leather club chairs, antique books and miniature globes, and vases filled with flowers. It will host screenings of Miu Miu’s “Women’s Tales” films and talks with people including the actress Felicity Jones.

The restaurant will feature three different chefs — Andrew Turner, April Bloomfield and Margot Henderson — in as many days. On the third floor is a pop-up shop that stocks the label’s resort collection. Members can also preview the spring range, and purchase one-off creations by Vivienne Westwood and Stephen Jones.

According to Prada, further openings of the-miumiu are in the pipeline but no plans have been made as to how many will open or where they will be — although the next club is expected to open in the Far East.
