ALL THAT GLITTERS: A flame-haired Beth Ditto serenaded Parisian crowds that had gathered for the inauguration Tuesday night of the Christmas displays at department store BHV with an impromptu cover the Dolly Parton ditty made famous by Whitney Houston, “I Will Always Love You.” “It’s my favorite song,” said the singer and fashion icon, who delighted her fans by addressing them in French.

 

Asked what she was doing in Paris, she replied, I am trying to be really cool. She and her band, The Gossip, also logged three concerts at the Bataclan. BHV’s colored neon displays were created by designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who said, “I wanted an electric Christmas, a contemporary Christmas that looks exactly like Beth.”
