CRYSTAL CLUB: Swarovski today revealed the 15 designers it is collaborating with for the fall 2014 season, known as the Swarovski Collective. Members of the group, who will all receive financial support along with a “free reign” to experiment with Swarovski Elements in their collections, will include both established labels and new names.
The group includes Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Emilia Wickstead, Alexis Mabille and Anthony Vaccarello, all labels Swarovski has worked with in the past, along with three new designers. They are Brandon Sun, who shows in New York, Fyodor Golan in London and Tex Saverio in Paris. Sun is an alumni of the J.Mendel and Oscar de la Renta design studios, and showed his first solo collection in New York for fall 2012. Fyodor Golan is a London-based label by designers Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman, who won London’s Fashion Fringe Prize in 2011. And Jakarta, Indonesia-based Saverio will show in Paris for a second time for fall. Saverio is known for dressing Lady Gaga in one of his dramatic tulle dresses, and for having designed the wedding dress Jennifer Lawrence wore in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
