BOSTON’S RH FACTOR: An eclectic crowd that will include Jeremy Renner, Bunny Williams, Joseph Abboud, MIT Media Lab’s Nicholas Negroponte and Celerie Kemble will be at tonight’s opening of RH, a four-level, 40,000-square-foot design emporium in Boston. They will be among the first to check out the redesign of the 150-year-old landmark building which now houses a wine bar, a Parisian conservatory, indoor park, a boutique for fresh flowers, personalized interior design services and an international design bibliotheque. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will officially cut the ribbon Thursday.
Renner and Williams surprisingly have more in common than liking RH. The actor lived in Beantown while shooting Ben Affleck’s “The Town,” and the esteemed decorator started her career there. And the “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” headliner is known to buy and flip houses when not on set.
Design no doubt will be an icebreaker at the Ken Oringer-prepared private dinner hosted By RH’s Mark Andrus and Martin Dykas after tonight’s bash.
